Just a couple weeks ago Wish Upon a Wedding granted another wedding wish. Here's a little background on Kelly and Veronica's story:
Kelly was diagnosed with a brain cancer called glioblastoma in May
after being hospitalized with excruciating headaches. Glioblastoma, or
GBM, is one of the most destructive forms of cancer and Kelly has a gene
known as Li-Fraumeni syndrome, that
puts people at a very high risk for cancer. This gene runs in Kelly’s
family and has taken the lives of his mother, grandmother and three
uncles.
Kelly’s doctors have estimated that he will have 18 months to live
with chemotherapy and radiation treatment. But Kelly is a positive
person who is committed to fighting the disease. He plans to live a long
life with his wife and their six children. We believe anything is
possible and we are keeping Kelly and Veronica in our thoughts as they
go through probably the biggest fight of their lives.
The wedding ceremony and reception was important to Veronica and
Kelly not only to express their love and devotion to each other, but
also to create loving memories for their children to have forever. Marianne Lozano, a prominent wedding photographer in Los Angeles, was there to capture these treasured moments for the Haro family.
The wedding couldn't have been more perfect and intimate for them and their children.
I loved her dress donated by Bonny Bridal!
Thanks again to all the vendors who donated to make this wedding come to life including Jay's Catering and Serra Plaza!
Always happy and proud to be part of this organization! For the full list of vendors and more pictures visit the Wish Upon a Wedding blog here.
*Also, if you're interested in coming to our Blissful Wishes Gala on October 10th at the Vibiana, it's not too late to get tickets here!
