Letty & Gustavo : Heritage Square Wedding

Monday, December 22, 2014

Let us look back at one of our summer weddings of the year....  This beautiful ensemble of vintage detail took place at the picture perfect landmark of Heritage Square.

Bride and Groom

I love the use of these wooden frames as escort card holders.

The diverse lounge chairs were to die for. Wedding guests were indulging in this velvet beauty.

Our friends at Circa Vintage Rentals really knew how to bring that touch and contrast of colors with their unique furniture.

Showing off the plan for this wedding!

Our bride and groom were speechless when they saw their personalized wedding topper, which showed their complete family. Definitely a sweet treat.  Congratulations again Letty and Gus!!!

Let it Rain!!!

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

So many weddings and ooo so very few rainy days.  For all those that are considering saying your "I do's" in beautiful Southern California because of the perfect weather, we have news for you, there is a 5% chance of rain on your day but fear not.  There are many ways to make your day memorable with amazing features in hand. I will reveal some ideas for those Plan B situations on my next blog coming soon...
"March winds and April showers, will bring May flowers." Who says rain on a wedding day is bad luck? We think this is great photograph opportunity! #rainboots #bride #springweddings

 Happy Hump Day!!!

The Artful Bachelorette

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Need a new idea on how to celebrate your bachelorette?  Look no further!

Harmony from The Bridal Bar invited us to an intimate party hosted by The Artful Bachelorette.  If you go to their website, the first thing you see is "Drinks, Drawing and a Nude Model.".  Now you see why I couldn't say no to this!

I got this little excerpt from The Bridal Bar.  It's a pretty, dead on description of what goes on.

The Artful Bachelorette is a party company that creates experiences and parties for bachelorette groups (or others) who want something sassy, fun and fabulous to do before the big day!  It’s an art lesson…learning the art of drawing the nude male model.  Yep, you read that right!  After plenty of bubbly and munchies, good times and giggles, your art teacher will instruct the group with different brief lessons to draw the male model in front of you.  All of him.  It’s so. much. fun.  This is not your average art class!

So much fun you guys!

Add some snacks and bubbly and this seriously turns out to be such a fun + a little risque way to celebrate!  We were all giggling like little girls! Thanks for having me Harmony!

Jason + Christine Sneak Peeks!

Friday, November 7, 2014

We had an intmate wedding last month that we already have some great pictures from.  Thanks Jeremy Chou!  I worked with Christine pretty early on.  I loved her taste and since it was a smaller wedding we had the privilege to do their florals as well.

Come back soon for the full recap and full vendor credit.  In the meantime, here's a sneak peek!

Can't wait to see the ALL the images and share!  Happy Friday!

Downtown LA venue :: OUE SkySpace + California Wedding Day Dinner

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

We've had the privilege of working with the team at OUE for a couple events this year.  Super fun to step out of the wedding events area and dive into public, social ones.

This event was still wedding and so much fun!  Weddings will always be my thing although I would love more corporate gigs.  This was a collab between OUE and the magazine California Wedding Day.  Claudin gave us a little iPhone recap here.  Thanks to Jeremy from Exposures LA we have some official pictures!

The florals by Lilla Bello were gorgeous!

It was a beautiful contrast to the modern look of the venue itself.  The lighting by Pacific Event Lighting added the perfect touch!  A mix of chandeliers + Edison bulbs!

Catering was provided by Good Gracious and drinks were by BevMo!

Our couple got to up to the helipad too!  Crazy shot on top of the world!

See the full feature with full vendor credit over at California Wedding Day!  Thanks for letting us be a part of this amazing event!

Inspiration Board :: Burgundies + Gold with a Touch of Fuschia

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Hi friends!  We've been a little busy but we're hoping to get back on track with sharing now.  We have 3 weddings until our wedding season ends and we're pretty stoked about our last ones!  Usually we go with lighter palettes during our Spring/Summer season and a little deeper and richer for our Winter.

Here's one for New Year's Day wedding!

Thoughts?  Have a lovely Tuesday lovebirds!
